More so, as the artistic director of Yourspace, she was also responsible for programming and developing inspiring youth events. To commit to this line of work, Tasha founded the House of Knowledge foundation in 2018, together with culture maker Sam Uittenbogaart.
Throughout her career, Tasha has always been concerned with social issues. As such, she was a co-host and advisor during the Rotterdam BLM manifestation and continues to provide advice to municipal institutions in the field of Slavery and the impact of the Colonial past. At the end of 2023, SABI was founded and Tasha takes the seat as chairman.

Tasha's World is the stage name of Rotterdam recording artist Tasha Slagtand. Tasha's World has released three successful albums, with the result of winning several awards, including the Essent Award, De Zilveren Harp and an EMMA Award (UK). Tasha toured all over the world with her band. From the world-famous Jazz Café in London and S.O.B's in New York to Ahoy Rotterdam during Friends of Amstel Live, the North Sea Jazz Festival in The Hague and North Sea Jazz Festival in Cape Town.
In 2008, Tasha took a break from performing. In that period she was asked to become a board member of the Your World foundation (Rotterdam European Youth Capital 2009). In this position she advises the municipal council on music projects Rotterdam youth. Two years later she started a talent development program in the field of singing for the Rotterdam stage De Nieuwe Oogst. The project, called Harvest Me, gave young Rotterdam music talents the tools they needed to professionalize. Almost all of Harvest Me's then talents have developed into successful artists.
